Prams and Trolleys
We do not allow any prams or trolleys into our waiting areas. PLEASE LEAVE THEM OUTSIDE. You can lock your pram or trolley to the metal bar on the wall outside - ask at reception for a lock.
NO RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE TAKEN BY THE SURGERY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE.
Training
Bellegrove Surgery is actively involved in the training of postgraduate doctors who spend four months under the supervision of Dr Cotter. These are fully qualified doctors who are acquiring experience in general practice.
We also train GPs from Queen Mary's Hospital Vocational Training Scheme who spend 12 months with us..
Referral Letters
Referral letters should be typed and sent within a few days but phone if you have not received an appointment within two/three weeks. Private referrals need to be collected from reception and take three or four days after you have informed us of the name of the consultant you have booked your appointment with.
Letters and Forms
Letters to ‘Whom it may concern’ or forms which are filled in by the GP at the patient’s request do incur a fee. Please see list of charges displayed in our reception area and allow us three or four days.
Audits
Health Authority staff may audit claims and so need to look at patients' notes (under supervision). You have the right to object, if you are concerned, on the grounds of confidentiality.
